Michigan Works! Livingston Service Center offers a full range of employment-related services to help employers find skilled workers and to help job seekers find satisfying careers. The Center, in Howell, is part of the statewide Michigan Works! system of one-stop service centers designed to meet your needs. Oversight is provided by the Workforce Development Council.

Pure Michigan Talent Connect

Pure Michigan Talent Connect is the State of Michigan’s web-based talent matchmaking site and central hub for talent, employers and educators. We can help you post your positions so you will get results quickly. We will work with you to identify your hiring criteria and design an effective posting. Then, we will either show you how to conduct your own job search, or conduct the searches for you and present you with a list of qualified candidates that meet your specifications.

Recruitment and Pre-Screening

Michigan Works! Livingston Service Center can be listed as the contact point on the Michigan Talent Bank and in other job postings. Applicants can fill out and submit applications, along with their resumes, at the Michigan Works! office. Our personnel will screen all applications and resumes against your company’s pre-defined application criteria such as education, skill level and experience.

Assessment Services We assess hundreds of job seekers annually using valid and reliable aptitude, interest, and basic skills instruments. We can test applicants to your specifications using our instruments or yours. Lower your recruitment and turnover costs by hiring the right candidate.

Job Fairs and Custom Hiring Events

Need several employees? Join the more than 50 exhibitors who recruit at our annual Livingston Regional Job Fair in April. Or, let us schedule a custom hiring event just for your company. We can supply an interview room at the Michigan Works! Livingston Service Center, or arrange a larger venue for major hiring needs. We will handle all the event details, including recruitment.
